In consideration for providing the opportunity to play , I/we hereby release and save harmless the school, its employees, and volunteers from any liability for any injury that my/our child may sustain while participating as a member of the team.

Parents Code of Ethics

The purpose of the Parochial League is to provide participants the opportunity to grow physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually in the image of Christ in a positive athletic environment.

To this end:

I understand this is a recreational league and that my child plays sports for his/her enjoyment, not mine. I recognize the value and importance of volunteer coaches. I realize they give their time and resources freely to provide recreational activities for my child. I will treat them with respect.

I recognize that the Kansas City Parochial League is guided by Christian principles and I will demonstrate these values and actions at all times.

I will cheer for my child's team and refrain from booing the opposition.

I will encourage everyone to enjoy the game and practice good sportsmanship.

I will teach my child that honest effort in a losing cause is as important as a victory and that the final score of each game is to be accepted without undue disappointment.

I will be a positive role model by supporting my child's team and I will not make any derogatory comments or gestures to players, coaches, officials or gym moderators. I agree to let the players play, the coaches coach and the officials officiate.

I understand that I or anyone else who interferes with a Parochial League sponsored contest will be asked to leave the gym and will be suspended or barred from attending any future Parochial League contest.

I have read the above and agree to abide by this code of ethics.
